Graveside services for Doris Brown, of Sterlington, will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Promise Land cemetery, near Farmerville, with Reverend Dennis Hackler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Brown, 81, went to her heavenly home April 8, 2017. Doris loved her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, L.W. "Pappy" Brown; son, David Brown; parents, John & Clara Mebane; and four siblings.

Left to cherish her memory is her three children, Sue Pitarro of Sterlington, John & Teresa Brown of Sterlington, and Don & Lydia Brown of Monroe; two sisters-in-law, Loyce Thomson and Joyce Lucas; two brothers-in-law, Wayne LaForce and Orvin LaForce; nine grandchildren, Cammy & Jamie Cormier, Chad & Holly Pitarro, Jake & Carla Brown, Wendy & Ross Horton, Jennifer & Brad Colquette, Ashton Martin, David & Leslie Brown, Jonathan Brown and Kristyn Brantley; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Grandsons along with Vern Breland will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville.
