Funeral services for Donna Gayle Smith, 54, of Bernice will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, April 2, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Bernice with Bro. Michael McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mrs. Smith went to her heavenly home on March 29, 2018. Donna was a member of First Baptist Church of Bernice. She was devoted to Thomas Monk for over 20 years. Donna loved and cherished her grandchildren. She enjoyed canning, working in the garden and family reunions that were held in Mississippi.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Bateman & Parma Gayle Simpson; and infant daughter.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Thomas Monk of Bernice; one son, Jeff Monk & wife, Kim of Bernice, La.; one daughter, Abbi Monk of Bernice, La.; one brother, David Bateman of Oklahoma City, Ok.; one sister, D'Ann Cotton; four grandchildren, Sam, Ben, Jack and Callie; two nephews, Taylor Bateman and Chad Tucker; and a host of friends and other family.

Pallbearers will be Bird Strahan, Terry Lay, Neil Monk, George Monk, David Jackson and Drake Jackson.

Visitation will be Monday, April 2, 2018 from 12:00pm until time of service at First Baptist Church of Bernice.
