Funeral services for Don Smith Woods, 85, of Farmerville, La., will be held at Farmerville United Methodist Church, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Hank Hamilton officiating.  Interment will follow in Farmerville City Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Woods went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 20, 2020.  He was a faithful Christian man, loving husband and father who always put his family before himself.  Don was a quiet man who always thought before he spoke.  He graduated in 1956 from Arkansas A&M with a degree in chemistry.  Don worked in the paper industry for over 40 years where he ended his career as General Manager of Jackson Paper in Sylva, North Carolina.

Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents, Buford & Elizabeth Woods; two brothers, Fred Erston Woods and Max Eugene Woods.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Catherine Woods; sons, Don Smith Woods, Jr., Robert Lashley Woods (Chris) and William Jeffress Woods (Mary Kay); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and sister, Becky Chamberlain (Richard).

Visitation will be held December 23, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m. at Farmerville United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
