A memorial service for Dee Dee will be held at 2:00 PM, June 11, 2024 at Farmerville United Methodist Church with Rev. Hank Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, prior to the service at Farmerville United Methodist Church.

Dee Dee Kirkland met her Lord Jesus on March 21, 2024. Dee Dee was born in Bryceland La. to Virgil B. Enlow and Emma T. Enlow on December 10th, 1932. She is preceded in death by three brothers: Virgel B. Enlow, Ralph T. Enlow, and Jimmy Dale Enlow, along with her parents, Virgil, and Emma Enlow. Dee Dee is survived by her daughter Kristi Kirkland (Greg) Sherburne, two nephews and six nieces.

Dee Dee was married to Kirk Kirkland from 1955, until his death June 6th, 2017. She was in sales for many years and owned and operated a children's store in Monroe, LA. for ten years. Her work also included sales for an upscale clothing store in North Carolina and New York. In 1982 she opened her own candy store named "Bear Creek Fudge and Chocolate" and was sole proprietor until she sold the business in 1993. Dee Dee was a past president of the Farmerville Garden Club, and active member over the years.

Dee Dee Kirkland was an exceptional cook and loved to entertain anyone who "loved to eat!"  She and her husband Kirk loved traveling in their motorhome to the mountains and the western states with friends. As a Christian, she knew her Lord Jesus personally and was a faithful attending member of the First Methodist Church of Farmerville, LA. and the Women's Missionary Union (WMU) for many years.

In lieu of Flowers donations may be sent to any charity supportive of families in crisis through substance abuse, or the First United Methodist Church, Farmerville La.
