Funeral services for Mr. David Bruce Ramsey, age 70 of Marion, LA will be held at 10:00AM Friday March 31, 2023 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA with Bro. Jeff Hurst and Bro. Dewayne Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Spearsville under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. David retired from LA State Forestry Department after over 20 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He lived on the Ouachita River and enjoyed the river life. MR. David never met a stranger and was a friend to many. He loved country music, Hymns, Gospel and loved to play his harmonica. He was known for writing poems to his family and friends in their times of need. He was sincere and cared about others salvation.

Mr. David was preceded in death by his parents: Perry and Louise Hillman Ramsey, his sister: Judy Ramsey and his brother: Mark Ramsey.

He is survived by his daughter: Stacie Miller (Keith), his son: Jason Ramsey, his brother: Stephen Ramsey (Terri), four sisters: Barbara Lambert, Jean Harris (Randy), Joy Roddy (David), and Laurel Palmer (Bill), six grandchildren: Connie Miller, Johnna Miller, Brittany Miller, Tristain Miller, Lane Ramsey, and Dalton Ramsey, and eight great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dalton Ramsey, Lane Ramsey, Tristain Miller, Luke Ramsey, Perry Ramsey, Caleb Clendenen, and Chase Clendenen.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday March 30, 2023 at Hopewell Baptist Church.
