Funeral services for Mr. David Lamar Jackson, age 79 of Bernice, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Jackson and Bro. Jerry Garris officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. David graduated from Bernice High School and retired from Alcoa Aluminum in Magnolia, Arkansas. He also served as a lineman for Valley Electric out of Mansfield, Louisiana and as a deck hand in the oilfield for many years. Mr. David loved to fish, stump hooking, and trot lining. He enjoyed boot scooting and dancing at the Legion Hall and the V.F.W. Mr. David will be missed by his family and many friends.

Mr. David was preceded in death by his parents, David Bartfield and Edna Marie "Ree" Driggers Jackson; and his sister, Francis Garris.

He is survived by his son, David Lane Jackson; daughter, Angela Lynn Jackson; three brothers, Charles Jackson, Jimmy Jackson, and Joe Jackson (Peggy); sister, Betty Roan; four grandchildren, Grace Jackson, Drake Jackson, Amber Harrell, and Dustin Key; and a number of great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Drake Jackson, Logan Disotell, David Henderson, Tony Smith, Jimmy "Jr." Jackson, and Dustin Key.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM prior to the service, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Shiloh Baptist Church.
