Funeral services for Dan R. "Scratch" Nale, 68, of Truxno will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Bird's Chapel Methodist Church in Truxno, La. with Bro. Glyn Nale and Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will follow in Bird's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Nale passed away on February 26, 2020. Scratch was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved family gatherings at the Nale camp, especially fish fry's and grilling. Scratch could always be found at an arena supporting his daughter and nieces in play days and rodeos. He had a big heart, never met a stranger and would help anyone in need. Scratch was a hard worker who loved his family dearly.

Mr. Nale was preceded in death by his parents, Green & Clara Beaird Nale; one brother, J.O. Nale; three sisters, Elaine Murry, Eloise Murry and Lucy Jones; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Linda Bryant Nale; son, Bradley "Shorty" Nale & wife, Emily; daughter, Brittany "Baby Girl" Nale; four brothers, Bob Nale, Wesley Nale & wife, Elaine, Max Nale & wife, Charlotte and Glyn Nale & wife, Sandra; two sisters, Alice Rogers and Dianne Holley & husband, W.L.; five grandchildren, Jason Pope, Brooklyn Nale, Austin Ramsey, Cody Adkins and Bailey Adkins; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Layne; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cody Adkins, Corey Chappell, Brian Conley, Philip Jones, David Nale, Johnny Holley, Richard Scarborough and Brandon Jones.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Bird's Chapel Methodist Church in Truxno, La.
