Obituary

A grave side service for Ms. Dakota Beatrice Parks, age 97 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Evans Cemetery in Magazine, Arkansas under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Lloyd and Chris Donnelly officiating.

Dakota went home to her Lord and Savior in heaven. Even though her life towards the end was a struggle, beautiful memories of a life well lived were stolen from her, she continued to find comfort in visitors conversations. She absorbed the love coming from those around her in the moment. Dakota had an amazing sense of humor and valued laughter in life.

Dakota, or Coty, as she was affectionately called, was a loving and selfless wife and mother. Her family was her sole focus and she prayed over them. She often cared for them to the exclusion of her own needs. Visits to the homes of her children's families are memories that will always be cherished. She lived a servants life and modeled a servants heart. More than once she lovingly and patiently sat with family and prayed over them while they took their final breaths. She finished well and pointed them all to Jesus.Coty was loved by all who knew her and will be desperately missed by those she had left behind. Our hearts are broken by this loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. Enjoy Heaven Momma!

Ms. Dakota is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, T.I. Parks, her parents: Everette Lloyd and Lillian Stephenson, granddaughter: Angela Hammons, five sisters: and three brothers. She is survived by her three sons: Thomas DeWayne Parks (Judy), Ronnie Lee Parks (Connie), and Lonnie Dee Parks ( Deeann), one daughter: Elaine Brantley (Bat), four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dewayne Parks, Ronnie Parks, Lonnie Parks, Chris Hunt and Danny Barnett.

There was an open casket viewing at the graveside pavilion.
