Funeral services for Clyde Trevelyn Barron, 92, of Spearsville will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Spearsville First Baptist Church with Bro. James Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Spearsville City cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.
Clyde Trevelyn Barron came into this world on May 21, 1926. He joined the Lord on October 9, 2018, at the age of 92.
Clyde was a veteran of World War II, serving on three continents. Following the war, Clyde married Lynette Rhodes and cherished her love for 70 years.
Clyde was a proprietor of a full-service station in Spearsville in the 1950's before going to work for Claiborne Butane in 1961, retiring after 36 years of service. Clyde was an active member of Spearsville Baptist Church since 1961, serving as a Deacon since 1998.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Lynette Rhodes Barron of Spearsville, La.; four children, Anderson Lee Barron of Ft. Pierce, Fl., Clyde Scott Barron & wife, Remona of Spearsville, La., Cathy Lumpkin of Plano, Tx., and Joe Barron and wife, Amie of Spearsville, La.; one sister-in-law, Mary Gene Rhodes of Spearsville, La.; ten grandchildren, Matt Holley, Tiffany Johnson, Logan Forbess, Jennifer Adkins, Seth Barron, Connor Lumpkin, Reese Barron, Luke Barron, Jordan Barron and Jake Barron; eight great-grandchildren (with one on the way); and cherished nieces, nephews and a host of beloved friends.
Clyde's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Spearsville First Baptist Church.
