Obituary

Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Jean Hearn, age 91 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday June 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Clara Hearn passed away at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones on Sunday, June 11, 2023. Mrs. Clara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved seeing everyone together. She graduated from Mangham High School and was also a graduate of Louisiana Business College. Her early years she was employed with United Gas. During her employment, Mrs. Clara met the love of her life, Max Von Hearn. They were married in 1958 and enjoyed 65 years together. Mrs. Clara loved to express her creative and fashionable side. She spent many hours painting, sewing, cooking and gardening. She loved sharing these passions with her many grandchildren. She loved traveling and seeing new places. Mrs. Clara established and operated a clothing boutique, The Farmerville Showcase, which served the Union Parish and surrounding areas for 10 plus years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church where she loved to serve on many committees. Mrs. Clara was a very elegant and poised woman. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Clara is preceded in death by her parents: Grover and Nettie Butler Bledsoe, two sisters: Mary Louise Bledsoe and Allyne Barmore, and one brother: Marion Cook.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Max Von Hearn, daughter: Kahla Hearn Terral (Kendal), son: Michael Hearn (Lean), two sisters: Sandra Gennings and Violet Stovall, one brother: Bobby Bledsoe, grand children: Brandon Hearn, Ailee Hearn, Thomas M. Terral (Katelyn), John S. Terral (Hannah), Joshua Terral (Macie), and Lacy Terral, great grandchildren: Charlotte Anne Terral, John Henry Terral, and Thomas Wade Terral, and her great nephew: Von Hearn (Lisa).

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas M. Terral, John Terral, Joshua Terral, Brandon Hearn, Von Hearn, and Jeff Barmore. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be T. Kendal Terral.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Farmerville First Baptist Church.
