Funeral services for Mr. Charles Lee Bridges, Jr. age 75 of Bernice, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Scallen officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mr. Charles was a graduate of Arkansas High in Texarkana, AR. Early in his life he drove a bus for Trailways and was an instructor for Grayhound. Mr. Charles was also an independent insurance salesman for many companies including Prudential, Mutual of Omaha, TransAmerica, New York Life, and Equitable, just to name a few. He was a busy man who held many jobs. Mr. Charles loved being around people and never met a stranger. He was loved by all.

Mr. Charles in preceded in death by his parents: Charles Lee Bridges, Sr. and Mellie B. Green Bridges.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Coffey Bridges, two children Richard Bridges and Steve Bridges (Emie), grandchildren: Amber, Jordan, Taylor and Luke, four great grandchildren, brother in laws: Dwayne Coffey (Tina) and Al Mixon (Sandra), sister-in-law: Rita Fitzgerald (Jimmy), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bob Harkins, Gene Terrell, James Wicker, Daniel Franks, Dwayne Coffey and Zachary Coffey. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Buckley, and Jimmy Harkins.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Shiloh Baptist Church.
