Funeral services for Charlene Adkins, 63, of Farmerville will be held at 10:00am Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville with Kenny Aulds and Dewayne Ramsey officiating. Burial will be in Ward Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adkins passed away Sept. 8, 2016. She was a member of Ward Chapel Church of Christ, was retired from Ouachita Parish School Board, enjoyed teaching sign language and loved her deaf kids. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents: J. C. & Loreace Jennings and her brothers: James Jennings, Charles Jennings and Mert Jennings.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James Adkins of Farmerville; 3 sons: David Shannon Adkins & wife, Sandy of Farmerville, Mark Adkins & wife, Jennifer of Summerfield, LA, and Brandon Adkins of Farmerville; foster daughter, Cindy Glaze of Shreveport; 3 special nieces: Kacee Anderson, Vickie Traylor and Jania Traylor; 7 grandchildren: Skye, Kaylee, Austin, Emma, Ella, Evee, and Hunter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Casey Traylor, Jeffrey Jennings, Jobe Traylor, Jonah Traylor, Bruce Jennings, Ricky Wyatt, and Matthew Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be the guys at Basic Energy.

Visitation is Saturday morning 8:00am until time of service at the funeral home.
