A funeral service for Mrs. Catherine Marie Jinks, 87, of Bernice, La. will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, 10:00 am at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Bernice, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. James Norwood will be officiating the services.

Catherine Marie Davidson Jinks, born February 11, 1934 in Greenwood, Louisiana, went home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2021. Marie spent most of her life as a homemaker, caring for her family with love only she could share. She had a God-given talent for cooking and sewing that made all that enjoyed eating or viewing what she made very happy.

Marie was preceded in death by: her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Jinks; her parents, Alver and Florence Cook Davidson; and brother, Alver Davidson, Jr.

Marie leaves behind: her daughter, Diane Skeeles and husband Melvin; son, Duane Jinks and wife Nina; grandchildren, Jeremy Skeeles and Shanna, Payton, Madalyn and Raylin, Katie Black and husband Josh, Holly Griffin and husband Patrick, Lucas Jinks and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Jordan Skeeles and wife Katie, John Skeeles, Avery Griffin, Natalie Griffin, Kaydence Jinks, Jocelyn Jinks, and Wyatt Jinks; and great-great-granddaughter, River Skeeles. Marie also has a sister, Virginia Parault and husband Ed; and brother, Fred Davidson and wife Violet.  She also had numerous nieces and nephews. Marie has many friends and relatives who will miss her dearly.

Pallbearers are Jeremy, Lucas, Jordan, John, Patrick, and Josh, with Wyatt as an honorary pallbearer.
