Farmerville
Funeral services for Mr. Brian Carlos Mashaw Halley, age 68 of Farmerville, LA will be held at 10:00am Wednesday November 6, 2024 at Antioch Baptist Church, Farmerville with Bros. David Byrnes and Bill Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Mr. Halley known to many as Captain Halley was employed by the Union Parish Sheriff's Office from 1988-2014 along with his role as homeland security director for the parish. His life was a reflection of his faith, he served the residents of Union Parish with humility and dignity. When asked nearly everyone has the same response, they never knew of him to have a harsh word to say or wouldn't bend over backwards to help others out. Perhaps the only thing he was known for as much as his willingness to help others was his sense of humor, always looking for a way to bring light to dark circumstances. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father Billy Mashaw step father JD "Jake" Halley.
Survivors include his wife Susie Halley of Farmerville and 2 sons: Nick and wife Jennifer Halley of Farmerville; Jacob and wife Amanda Halley of Farmerville; 3 grandchildren Jorja Lawson, Bryce Halley and Grant Halley; his mother Frenchie Gates Halley of Farmerville; Sister Vickie Ward and husband Eddie of Farmerville; Brother Jason Halley and wife Algarea of Biloxi, MS.
Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Halley, Bryce Halley, Jacob Halley, Grant Halley, Nicky Dodd, Randy Dodd, Mark Odom, Steven Head, Jason Halley, Union Parish Sheriffs Office active and retired deputies, and Don McClanahan.
He has left us with endless memories and hole in our hearts but a faith in knowing that the he is celebrating on the streets of gold with our Heavenly Father.
