A funeral service for Brenda Joyce Smith, 78, of Farmerville, La., will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Farmerville, La. under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Farmerville, La.

Brenda J. Smith, born November 19, 1943, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Brenda was a loving mother, grandmother, and a dear friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Solving crossword puzzles was one of her favorite pastimes. You could find Brenda outside fishing and spending time in nature. She spent her evenings, before bedtime reading her Bible. Brenda was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, William Smith; her parents Elmer and Thelma Ray, and one daughter Cindy Smith Aguilar.

Brenda is survived by her daughters, Glenda Joyce Smith, Mandy Ilene Smith and her husband Mike, and Margie Messer and her husband Jonathan; her grandchildren Caleb Smith, Bradley Makowsky and his wife Rebecca, Katie Makowsky, Paige Makowsky, Jolie Teeters, Bella Teeters and her great grandchildren Layla Makowsky, Nathan Evans, and Wren Evans. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles and Mack Ray along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
