Funeral services for Brenda Kay Newsom, 59, of Marion will be held at 3:00pm, Monday, March 25, 2019 at Marion Baptist Church with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, near Oakland, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Ms. Newsom passed away on March 22, 2019. Brenda was a lifelong resident of Union Parish and a member of Marion Baptist Church. Brenda loved and cared for all sorts of animals during her lifetime. She was a people person who would care for those who didn't have many to care for them. One of her favorite jobs was caring for children at the CenturyTel daycare. Later on, she was employed at Marion Food Mart. Brenda loved her children and supported them in many ways.

Ms. Newsom was preceded in death by her Aunt Doris Nolan; and Uncle Kenneth Newsom.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Brandon Lee Albritton & wife, Amanda of Farmerville, La., David Michael Albritton & wife, Leslie of Oakland, La. and Cory Max Reppond of Oakland, La.; parents, Bobby Gale & Marguerite Nolan Newsom of Marion, La.; one brother, Scotty Newsom & wife, Leah of Farmerville, La.; one sister, Angie Knight & husband, Mark of Lafayette, La.; three Uncles, Roy Nolan, Freddy Nolan and Carl Nolan; four grandchildren, Tyler Albritton, Chance Albritton, Bently Albritton and Henslee Albritton; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Tyler Albritton, Chance Albritton, Jeremy Newsom, Landry Newsom, Logan Knight and Shelby Knight.

Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 7:00p.m., Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.
