Brenda Tucker
Butcher
Dec 7, 1942 — Mar 31, 2023
Farmerville
On the evening of March 31, 2023 Brenda Tucker Butcher, age 80, saw the face of Jesus and touched the hem of his garment when she took her last breath on earth and her first breath in Heaven.
Brenda was born on December 7, 1942 to Monroe and Earline Tucker in Farmerville, LA. She graduated from Farmerville High School and Louisiana Tech. She worked for 30 years at The Office of Family Services, where she was a Supervisor. On November 2, 1963 she married Charles Butcher and together raised two daughters.
Upon retirement she enjoyed sewing for many people in her Community. Her day was not complete until needle, thread and fabric met. Her passion was playing the keyboard at First Assembly of God. Her prayer was that her God Given gift would glorify Him, and when others heard her music, they would feel Gods Presence near.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband Charles Butcher, her mother Earline Tucker and father Monroe Tucker. Her sisters Dimple Rhodes, Claudine Tucker and her brother Jimmy Tucker, nephews, Michael "Nog" Rhodes, and Chris Tucker, sister and brother-in-law Carol and Bobby Courmier and sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Weldon Doucette and her son in law, John Cranford.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy King ( Gary "Sky") and Sherri Cranford. Six grandchildren, Matt Odom (Reyna) Dustin Odom (Brittney), Christopher Cranford (Tammy), Tyler Cranford, Amber Cranford and Halie Lively (T.J).
