Obituary

Funeral services for Bobbie Jean Futch, 82, of Farmerville, La. will be held at Eagle Point Pentecost Church, Farmerville, visitation 9 AM and service 10 AM, Monday, May 9, 2022 with Pastor Lamar Guillot officiating. Interment will follow at the Farmerville Cemetery.

Bobbie Jean Futch, born July 1, 1939, departed for her eternal home on May 4, 2022, surrounded by family at her residence. She was a homemaker and loving mother to four. Until her health made it impossible, she was an active member of Eagle Point Pentecost Church, where she led song worship at each service. Though she never thought she had a voice to sing, those who heard her would say otherwise. Just to hear her say turn to page 32 in that old red gospel hymnal book just once more would be too selfish to ask. She was a woman of profound, unquestionable faith and devoted her life to be a servant of the Lord as her Bible instructed. She loved and loved unconditionally. Her family was blessed to have a woman who prayed for them daily and who put her faith before anything else.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elliott and Lora Trichell; late husband of 53 years, Jimmy Wayne Futch; siblings, O. C., Ozell, Opal, Beatrice, Ruth, J. W., Milton, Herman, Cecil, and Earnest Trichell; and grandchild, David Byrnside.

Left to cherish her memory: four children, Sally Adams (Steve), Terri Futch, Dwayne Futch (Lynn), and Leah Newsom (Scotty), all of Farmerville; grandchildren, Nicholas Byrnside, Brandi Lewellyan (Lee), Brittany Williams (Johnny), Jeremy Newsom (Sarah), Lacy Meredith (Josh), Joshua Byrnside, Kailey Reeves (Chandler), and Landry Newsom; great-grandchildren, Ty Byrnside, Bryleigh-Grace and Bretton-James Williams, Rylan and Halley-Kate Newsom, Branson Lane, and Hudson Reeves; sister, Becky Dye; brother, Newt Trichell; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Newsom, Joshua Byrnside, Landry Newsom, Lee Lewellyan, Johnny Williams, Joshua Meredith, and Chandler Reeves.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Byrnside, Ty Byrnside, Bretton-James Williams, Rylan Newsom, Branson Lane, Hudson Reeves, and Alan Ates.

2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
