Funeral services for Ms. Bobbie Jo Byrom Brantley, age 93 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Farmerville Church of Christ with Terry Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Bobbie Jo graduated as Valedictorian from Farmerville High School and received a full scholarship to LSU. She retired from Union Parish School Board as secretary for Federal Programs. Those who loved Bobbie Jo knew she enjoyed traveling, dining with family and friends, and sharing stories about her collectibles and "stuff". She loved the Lord and lived her life everyday as a Child of God. Her Christian influence was felt by so many in the community. Bobbie Jo had a vast knowledge of the Bible as well as her love for singing and attending church. We were blessed to have known and loved her and celebrate her life knowing we will see her again in Heaven.
Bobbie Jo was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Lovie Hollis Byrom.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Brantley (Rebecca), David Bruce Brantley (Sharon), Marlon Bat Brantley (Elaine), and Jo Ginn (Jerry); six grandchildren, Tom Brantley (Claire), Jessica Bean (Jon), David Brantley (Lindsey), Harrison Brantley (Dianna), Ethan Ginn (Caroline), and Trent Ginn; seven great grandchildren; special lifelong friends, Mary Hill and Goldie Gray; and many cousins and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Ethan Ginn, Trent Ginn, Richie Brantley, Steve Hollis, David Brantley, Eddie Albritton, Jon Bean, Tom Brantley and Roy Allen, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jiffy Fowler, Randal Howard, and Brad Farrington.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, April 22, 2024 at Farmerville Church of Christ.
The family would like to acknowledge the love and care she received at Arbor Rose Assisted Living and Union General Hospital.
