Mrs. Betty was born January 4, 1950 and passed away May 23, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. She grew up in a household that was surrounded by love and Christianity. Her father was a Missionary Baptist Preacher and they attended Woodhaven Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, mother-in-law, granddaughter and great grandmother. She was dedicated to her family and friends.

Mrs. Betty retired from Con Agra Foster Farms after more than 20 years of service there. She loved her job and was dedicated to the industry.

Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by her parents: Rev. Dr. Lawton Durant and Mary Opal Henry Foreman.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Buddy Taylor, three sons: Jason Powell, Dustin Powell (Rachel), and Jamie Taylor, special daughter: Melissa Rowell Richardson (Michael), three sisters: Rebekah Curtis, Priscilla Batista (Gill), and Eva Lynn Kush, 10 grandchildren: Josh Powell (Lauren), Jordan Powell (Brooke), Jacob Powell, Chelsey Powell, Aubin Powell, Ashlyn Powell, Meagan Powell, Ashton Powell, Sarah Taylor and Kody Rowell, four great grandchildren: Jaidyn Powell, Sawyer Powell, Finley Powell, and Hollis Powell, and her special friends: Angie Pilgreen and Monica Bearden.
