Betty McLemore Long was born in Clay County, Mississippi, and later made her home in Union Parish, Louisiana. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Farmerville, she served joyfully in the church choir and was a founding member of the quilting ministry that lovingly made quilts for missionaries. Betty had a deep and abiding love for the Lord, which was clearly reflected in her life. She had such a kind and giving heart and made friends wherever she went.

A woman of many talents, Betty was an accomplished artist, seamstress, and baker. She delighted in using her gifts to bless others and brought warmth and creativity into the lives of those around her.

In her later years, Betty became a resident of The Guest House in West Monroe, Louisiana. True to her nature, she quickly formed meaningful friendships and remained an active leader within the community, proudly serving as President of the Residents' Association and keeping everyone organized and engaged.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, A. T. and Helen McLemore; her beloved husband, Donald Long; and her oldest son, Jim Jolly.

Left to cherish and carry on her memory are her sister Phyllis Murphy of West Monroe, Louisiana, her children, Clyde Jolly (Suzonne) of Farmerville, Louisiana, and Jennifer Cole (Houston) of Downsville, Louisiana. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Johnathan Jollystone (Libby), Morgan Tucker (Nathan), Ashten Taylor, Tyler Kilcrease, Parker Cole, and Livi Cole; her great‑grandchildren, Shelby Tucker, James "Jim" and Jude Fletcher; as well as numerous other family members and dear friends.

Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Farmerville, Louisiana, with Bro. Kurt Auger officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with services to follow. Interment will be at Holmesville Baptist Church under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Billy Martin, John Crow, Chris Albritton, Morgan Albritton, Richard Kent Albritton, Robert Pace, Ben Jo Riser, and Scotty Booth.
