Funeral services for Mrs. Betty "Yvonne" Kennedy, age 88 of Marion, LA, will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, April 14, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Marion. Bro. Bubba Hogget will be officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Hill - Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Yvonne drove a school bus for Union Parish for many years and she loved her "bus kids". She was an avid reader and a great cook. Yvonne was known for her duck dressing and pressure-cooked rabbit. She was a faithful prayer warrior.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Stanley D. Kennedy; her mother, Lois Fitzgerald Frye; father, Larkin Edwards; daughter, Susan Reppond; and her son, Stan Kennedy.

She is survived by her daughter in law, Linda Kennedy; son in law, Dale Reppond; grandchildren, Mitch Reppond (Kathyrn), Katie Miers (Glenn), Haley King (Jason), and Joni Johnson (Brooks); great grandchildren, Gracyn Reppond, Kennedy Reppond, Carlyle Reppond, Thomas Reppond, Matthew Miers, Annakae Miers, Wyatt Gilbert, Addisyn Gilbert, Ainsleigh Gilbert, Willow Gilbert, John Larkin Turner, and Jude Turner.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Miers, John Larkin Turner, Wyatt Gilbert, Jude Turner, Glenn Miers, and Brooks Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason King and Thomas Reppond.

Visitation will be held at 1:30 PM, prior to the service, Sunday, April 14, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Marion.
