A funeral service for Mrs. Betty Ann "Sally" Bashrum, age 87 of Marion, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 28, 2023 at Dean Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Don Reeves. Burial will follow in Dean Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Mrs. Betty was a 1954 graduate of Marion High School. She graduated from Northeast Louisiana University and received her Masters of Studies at Northwestern State University. Mrs. Betty began her 37-year teaching career in Caddo Parish School District. She then taught at Linville School and retired from Rapides Parish School Board and Grant Parish School Board. Mrs. Betty was a teacher who could definitely get your attention and was loved by all her students. She was a loving wife and mother and a special aunt to her nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Betty is preceded in deathy by her husband of 41 years: Kramer W. Bashrum, parents: B.L. Reppond, Sr. and IV Pardue Reppond, and her siblings: B.L. Reppond, Jr., Nina Henson, Lewis Reppond, Ralph Reppond, Larry Reppond, and Rowena Patterson.

She is survived by her son: Cramer Bashrum, special daughter: Leigh Calcott, brother: Arnold Reppond, two sister in laws: Dorris Bashrum and Cathy Bashrum, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Walters, Donald Broussard, Brian Boney, Brandon Kelly, Lessie Reppond, and Gary Reppond.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, July 28, 2023 at Dean Baptist Church.
