A funeral service for both Bernard "Mickey" Caldarera and his wife, Imogene "Jean" Caldarera, will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Dean Baptist Church in Marion, La. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Dean Baptist Church in Marion, La. prior to the funeral service.

Bernard Michael "Mickey" Caldarera, 80 years of age, of Atkins, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, January 9th, 2022. He was born February 21, 1941 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Bernard Caldarera Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Garstka. A graduate of Catholic High, Mickey also attended the University of Arkansas where he played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Known to many as "T-bone", Mickey was a butcher by trade and owned a successful grocery store in Shreveport, Louisiana where he and his wife, Jean, lived until they "retired to the lake" in Atkins, Arkansas. He was an avid member of the Goldwing Riders Association and traveled on his motorcycle to every state in the United States. He enjoyed working in his yard, growing tomatoes, making furniture, and fishing.

The eldest of four, he is survived by his sisters, Laura Robinette, Diane Wittig, and Deborah Phillips. Among others who also cherish his memory are his son, Scott Caldarera; step-daughter, Robin Gordy; step grand-daughters, Meagan Tullis and Corie Sparks; many cousins, nephews, a niece, and friends; he and his wife's dog, "Prissy"; and many others. Mickey will be remembered as someone who enjoyed life and always had a funny comment to brighten the room.

He will be interred at Dean Cemetery in Marion, Louisiana next to his wife, Imogene "Jean" Caldarera, who followed him eight short days later. There will be a service at Dean Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 1 o'clock honoring both of them.

There will also be a memorial mass held at the Church of the Assumption in Atkins, Arkansas on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 8:30am .
