Obituary

Funeral services for Andy Hicks, 58, of Mer Rouge, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2020 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill~Taylor Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

James Andy Hicks was born August 19, 1961 and went to be with his Lord and Savior March 3, 2020. Andy loved his dogs and enjoyed watching professional baseball on T.V. He was a successful truck driver for much of his life, and his C.B. handle was Giddy-Up. Andy had a nickname for all of his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou & James Dillard Hicks; sister, Mary Beth Hicks Allen; brother-in-law, Thomas T. Allen, Jr.; great-nieces, Sarah Lindsey Williams and Randi Layne Williams; and great-nephew, Nicolas Shayne Williams.

Andy is survived by his sister, Betty Hicks Williams & husband, Ronnie; nephews, Randy Williams & wife, Tammy, Thomas Duff "Duffy" Allen; nieces, Abby Williams, Ashley Allen Moreland & husband, Mike, Amy Allen Gregory & husband, Brad; great-nephews, Langston Duff Allen and Seth Allen; great-nieces, Savannah Williams Womack & husband, Jeremy, Chloie Williams, Kyndall Gregory and Maurie Allen; great great-nephews, Joshua Womack and Carter Allen; great great-niece, Anna Grace Womack; uncle, Bob Hicks & wife, Pat; aunt, Frances Smith; and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Randy Williams, Duffy Allen, Seth Allen, Langston Allen, J.N. Williams, Johnny Hicks and Mike Moreland.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bush, Ranny Reynolds and Bob King.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. ~ 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2020 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Oak Woods Nursing Home staff and Cristy Davis.
