Funeral services for Alston R. Gray, Sr. 61 of Spearsville will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, May 9th, 2017 at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Boatwright, Rev. Robert E. Lee, and Rev. Joe Floyd Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Gray, a small engine mechanic, went to his heavenly home May 3, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joan Lowery & Maynard Gray; stepdad Liston Lowery, and 1 brother, Patrick Michael Gray.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years, Ruby J. Gray; 3 sons: Thomas Alston Gray & wife Nicole of Mechanicsville, VA, Alston R. Gray, Jr. & wife Amber of El Dorado, AR and Fred George Gray of Spearsville, LA; 4 brothers: Jim Gray & wife Cheryl of Truxno, Robert Slayton & wife Judy of Truxno, Ricky Slayton of Truxno, David Lowery & wife Debbie of Monroe, and William Gray of WI; 1 sister, Marie Gray Lotta & husband Jeff of Beloit, WI; 3 grandchildren: Juston McKinney, Lillian Holubik and Nicole Raine Holubik and various nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matt Sharp, Josh Sharp, John Rhodes, James McAdams, Robert E. Lee and Eric Sumner. Honorary pallbearers are Robbie Sharp, Joe Floyd Thomas and Jake Sharp.

Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday at Farrar Funeral Home.
