A memorial service for Mr. A. J. Drost, 88, of Ruston, will be held at 10:30am, April 30, 2016 at Life Church in Sulphur, La. with Bro. Fred McLemore officiating. Burial will be in Dutch Cove Cemetery in Moss Lake, LA at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville.

Mr. Drost went to his heavenly home April 23, 2016. He was a WWII veteran, a retired refinery operator and an accountant in his later years. He was a member of Faith Church in Ruston, loved gardening and playing cards.

A. J. was preceded in death by one brother and 4 sisters.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 67 years, Dottie Drost of Ruston, LA; son, Andy Drost & wife, Kay of Sulphur, LA; 2 daughters: Jackie Drost-Miller of Sulphur and Karen Humphrey & husband, John of Ruston, LA; 1 sister, Gladys Bunting of Atlanta, GA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and many friends.
