Funeral services for John Colvin Wortham, age 72 of Spearsville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Eddie Schexnaydre officiating, with guest speaker, Brenda Hall assisting. The visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Camp Creek Baptist Church in Spearsville, LA. Interment will follow at Camp Creek Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

John was a hardworking man who loved God and loved people well. He was always ready and willing to help anyone in need, whether he knew them or not. His wife has been known to say, "He would just buy things so he could have them in case someone needed to borrow them". He retired from Arkla Gas/CenterPoint Energy after 40 years of service. He then worked for D'Arbonne Water System for 2 years before officially retiring.

He was a loving husband and father who he put his family above himself daily. He enjoyed being outside, riding in and attending rodeos, working with cattle, hunting, farming, and spending time with his friends and family. He brought smiles to those around him and always made everyone feel loved. He cherished his wife and daughter and loved them deeply. He also loved sharing his life stories about growing up and he always knew how to brighten up a dark day. He now walks hand in hand with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Sedral Reeves Wortham; three sisters, Donna Leigh, Jo Anne Jones and Pat Ramsey; Father-in-Law, Drue Rockett and nephew Mark Maisio.

John is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karen Rockett Wortham; daughter Zoie Wortham; two sisters, Mary DeCelle (Jerry) and Brenda Hall (Ernie); mother-in-law, Betty Rockett; sister-in-laws, Kimela Rockett, Connie Foti (Lamar) and Amy Griffith (Tommy); brother-in-law, Danny Rockett (Jan);a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jason Ramsey, Huel Jones, Dax DeCelle, Joshua Hall, Jeremiah Hall, Jacob Rockett, Wesley Griffith and one honorary pallbearer, Warrant Officer 1 William T. Griffith III who is currently serving our country on active duty overseas.
