Funeral services for James Rannie Terral III, age 78 of Lampe, MO, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Beulah Baptist Church with Bro. Truett West, Jerry Jenkins, and Curtis Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

James Rannie Terral III passed away at 7:18 a.m. on July 4, 2026, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 78. He was born December 12th, 1947 to James R. Terral and Faye (Hollis) Terral.

He leaves behind a legacy of profound faith, deep community impact, and enduring love. His children always knew a limitless kind of love from their father, and he was intentional about leading by example for his children and all those that knew him.

As a pastor, James was a true master of his craft. For him, ministry was not just a calling, but an art of ensuring that love and care for people was evident in everything he did. He guided his church members through life’s triumphs and trials with wisdom, grace, intention, and an open heart. Yet, for all his devotion to his ministry, he remained steadfastly approachable and anchored in family—treasured deeply by his entire family, but especially his nieces and nephews who affectionately knew him as "Uncle Jimbo." He also loved nature and plants, always keeping house plants and a vegetable garden, and he found great joy in noticing God's handiwork in nature.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James R. Terral and Faye Hollis Terral; his beloved wives, Nancy Terral and Annette Terral; his brothers, DeLane Terral, Dickie Terral, and Terry Terral; and his son, Scott Gronau.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Terral; his sisters, Glynda Faye Bridges Pardue and Mae Ellen Terral Shepherd; his children, J.R. Terral IV, Michael Terral and his wife Sarah, Rebekah Thairu, and Mike Gronau and his wife Emily; and his cherished grandchildren, Lorelei, Brayden Rodgers, Anna, Lily, Josie, Blake Gronau, and Olivia Gronau.

Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM, Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Beulah Baptist Church.
