Floyd Max Nale

Funeral services for Floyd Max Nale, age 86 of Marion, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 10, 2026 at Birds Chapel Methodist Church in Marion, La, with Bro. Glynn Nale, Bro. Kurt Auger, and Bro. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Birds Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

 Max Nale was a man of unwavering faith, a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He believed in living a life of honesty, kindness, and hard work, and those values were evident in everything he did. His life was a beautiful example of dedication to God, family, and community.

He spent over 40 years working alongside his wife, Charlotte, as a chicken farmer. He also faithfully served his community, working for the Parish as a road machine driver for 25 years. Even after retirement, Max continued working as a carpenter with his brother, Glynn.

He was proud to be a volunteer member of the Truxno Fire Department for 21 years, answering the call whenever his community needed him. He also loved being part of the Darbonne Range Riders, proudly driving the tractor during events while watching his daughter and grandchildren barrel race.

Of all the blessings in his life, none meant more to Max than his family. Whether everyone was gathered at his home or together at the Nale family camp. He loved being surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and there was nothing that brought him greater joy than simply being with the people he loved most.

Max was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Charlotte Nale, his parents, Abner and Clara Nale, his sister, Lucy Jones, and his brothers, Wesley Nale and Dan Richard Nale.

He leaves behind a family who will forever cherish his memory. His children, Jackie Roberts (Earl), Barbara Nale, David Nale (Bobbie), and Amanda Hilburn (Yancy), his grandchildren, Destiny Boyd (Danny), Whitney Price (Watson), Melanie Antley (Zach), Kason Kelley, Dalton Nale, and Heather Eubanks (Cody) his great-grandchildren, Khloe Deville, Avery Antley, Olivia Antley, Gavin Antley, Dakota Price, Roson Nale, and Emery Roberts. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bob Nale, Glynn Nale (Sandra) and James Knight whom he loved like a brother. His sisters, Alice Rogers and Dianne Holley (wl) and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Nale, Sandra Jones, and Dorris Hendry. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Although we will miss his wisdom and the love he so freely gave, we are forever grateful for the example he set. His legacy of faith, humility, hard work, and unconditional love will continue to live on through the family he cherished so deeply.

While our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing that he is now reunited in Heaven with his wife Charlotte, and has surely heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” (Matthew 25:23)

Until we meet again, we will hold you in our hearts, treasure the lessons you taught us, and thank God every day for the blessing of having you as our father, grandfather, and friend.

Serving as pallbearers will be Philip Jones, Brandon Jones, Bradley Nale, Brian Jester, Johnny Holley, and Watson Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Earl Roberts, Yancy Hilburn, Zach Antley, Cody Eubanks and Members of the Truxno Fire Department.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM, Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Birds Chapel Methodist Church.
