Barbara Jo Lambert, 81 years old, passed on Friday, March 27, 2026 at UT Health Center in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, April 3, 2026 at Faith Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA with Bro. Stephen Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Spearsville, LA under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Barbara was born January 19, 1945, in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late James Perry and Maime Louise Ramsey. She was the oldest of 8 children, 3 preceded in death. Barbara was educated in the Union Parish school system in Louisiana. She attended college at Northwestern State College of Nursing, achieving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. She served her nursing profession by participating in hospital unit leadership roles as well as serving to educate fellow nurses. In addition, she served as a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Corps Nurse Reserves for 8 years.

Barbara married Curtis C. Lambert Jr in 1967 and had two children. She divorced in 1982 and moved to Tyler, Texas. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and served in many churches by singing and playing the piano and organ.  She loved her faith and shared her faith with her children who also followed to profess their faith in Christ.

Barbara loved her children, family, pets, and career. She enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening, traveling, and shopping for antiques.

Barbara leaves to cherish her loving memory of her children, daughter Stephanie Lambert Hicks, son Bradley Lambert, grandson Walker Lambert, sister Jean Ramsey Harris and husband Randall Harris, sister Joy Ramsey Roddy and husband Dave Roddy, sister Laurel Ramsey Palmer and husband Bill Palmer, brother Stephen Ramsey and wife Terry Ramsey, and multiple nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and professional colleagues.  She was preceded in death by her sister Judy Ramsey, brother David Ramsey, brother Mark Ramsey, and niece Susan Garris.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home.
