Barbara Dianne Jones

Funeral services for Barbara Dianne Jones, age 74 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Beulah Baptist Church with Bro. Adam Holloway officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Barbara Dianne Doster Jones graduated from Spearsville High School in 1969. After graduation, she went to nursing school. After her future husband, Robert Jones, got permission from Dianne’s brother that he could write to her, they did. Months later, Robert came to Louisiana to meet Dianne in person and proposed to her at first sight. They married two weeks later on August 6, 1971. They moved to Germany where they were stationed. After trying for eight years to have a child, Dianne got pregnant with a girl, Dawn Elizabeth. Then the decision was made to move back to Louisiana. Dianne ultimately decided to be a homemaker. Dianne loved her family. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She faithfully went to church, and became the church clerk and served as such for over 30 years at Beulah Baptist Church.

Dianne loved her church and her church family dearly. She tried so many times to have everyone get her to church an hour early. When we didn’t show up until thirty minutes or less, she would have a “Novline fit”, insisting we were late. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23. She also loved doing what she could for other people. She would run errands for elderly friends in the community as well as take some ladies to the beauty shop each week. She absolutely loved her coffee, whether it was morning, noon, or night. More importantly, Dianne loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dianne was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Sgt. Robert Franklin Jones, US Army; parents, Loyelle Mayo and Sally Novline Tucker Doster; and her six brothers, Lonnie and Ronnie Doster, baby Doster, Larry Kent “Skeeter” Doster, Danny Lane Doster, and Carlos Lee Doster.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Jones Stanley (Stephen); grandchildren, Caitlin Caldwell (Travion), Gabriel Stanley, Nathaniel Stanley, and Ariel Stanley; and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Caldwell and Emery Caldwell.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Hayes, Keith Tawater, Mazion Pepper, J.J. Johnson, Steve Langley, and Jamie Brantley.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Beulah Baptist Church.
