Funeral services for Austin Hunter Hobbs, age 23 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2026 at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Rubin Weaver and David Byrnes officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.

Austin graduated in 2021. Upon graduating he worked with Cody Allen Marine Mechanic Service. Austin was presently employed with Case Farms of Farmerville in the refrigeration and equipment maintenance department. You could find Austin on all area lakes and rivers fishing, noodling, and running nets for big catfish. He was an accomplished bass fisherman, an avid duck hunter, and loved deer hunting. Most of all Austin loved his family, especially his younger brother, Jacob. Austin will be missed and always remembered.

Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Melissa Steen; maternal grandfather, Larry Flowers; maternal great-grandparents, Leroy and Betty Swarers; maternal great grandparent, Pete Wade; maternal great-grandparents Lawrence and Hellen Flowers; paternal great-grandparents, Duce and Bonnie Steen; aunts, Angela Carmen Fields, Sherri Ray, and Sue Flowers Lyles; great uncle, Everett Flowers.

Austin is survived by his mother, Shannon Renee Flowers Hobbs; father, Jeremy David Hobbs (Jeri Cameron Hobbs); brother, Jacob Gage Hobbs; step brother, Jack Eubanks; sister, Katie Murray (John Tyler); niece, Ashley Murray; aunts; Nicole Hobbs Acree and Tonia Boggs (Stacy); uncles, Brandon Hobbs, Taylor Hobbs, and Nathan Hobbs; great aunts, Teresa Marter (Ricky) and Debra Flowers Jones; great uncles, Marvin Flowers, Ray Flowers, Allen Flowers, Gerald Steen (Linda), Terry Steen (Kim), and Curtis Bearden (Janet); maternal grandmother, Kathy Wade; paternal grandfather, Rodney Hobbs (Patricia Hobbs); cousins, Blake, Paige, Lacie, Emily, Jackson and numerous others.
