Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Sehon, age 91 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home with Bart Miller officiating and music led by Jim Rhodes. Interment will follow at Roark-Allen Cemetery in Marion under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Peggy Denton Sehon passed from this life at 91 years old on February 11, 2026. She was born in Spearsville, LA on July 23, 1934 to J.A. and Neva Denton. Peggy attended Farmerville High School and met the love of her life, George "Bub" Sehon, while playing in a basketball game against Marion High School. Bub and Peggy were married May 29, 1954 and enjoyed 69 years of marriage together while residing in Marion, LA. Peggy was a graduate of Farmerville High School where she was an outstanding basketball player, having led her team in scoring. After high school, she began working at the Marion Clinic for Dr. Grady Dugas as an Office Manager. Peggys special talent was being an accomplished seamstress, designing and sewing many of her clothes and outfits as well as her own wedding dress and for many of her family. Family was the most important thing in her life and she expressed this often in recent days. She cherished their visits; many times, inviting them to stay and spend the night. Peggy enjoyed people and entertained many friends that she and Bub met during his long career at Marion State Bank. She provided many wonderful memories to those she reached out to in times of need. Peggy and Bub were faithful, lifelong members of The Haile Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. "Aubrey" and Neva Rockett Denton; her sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Chuck Farrington; brother, Mickey Denton; nephew, Corey Denton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Dr. Grady Dugas.
She is survived by her brother, Lane Denton (Louise); sister-in-law, Pam Denton; sister, Debbie Williams (Robbie); and numerous nieces and nephews; Brad Farrington, Brenda Farrington, Lisa Harper, Mandy Kennedy, Terri Whittington, Steve Dugas, Dr. Rene Dugas. Ken Dugas, Dr. Chris Dugas, and Denise Spence.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Duty, Lee Brantley, Josh Parker, Maddox Lee Miller, Rance Broussard, and Dylan Dodd.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jackie Montgomery and care-givers Charlotte Brown, Tammy Anderson, Dean Burch, and Mattie Boyett. Their dedication and never-ending encouragement gave Peggy much strength and love that she felt daily. Appreciation also goes to La. Hospice and Pallative Care and Officer Bruce McCrell for stopping in every night to check on Peggy.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM prior to the service, Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Farrar Funeral Home.
